Well, an onboard card does indeed share both memory and processing with the general PC so a dedicated card is simply better from that perspective, regardless of any graphics improvement.
tbh...there is nothing between ATI and Nvidia cards at the low end... once you start spending $100 or more on a card, i would suggest a preference for an ATI card.. as the eyefinity architecture supports 3 displays whereas nvidia supports 2 max..even in sli mode..

I purchased the Nvidia Geforce GT 610 1024 MB Silent. Haven't tried it with Sonar yet, just installed the card. Works fine otherwise.

Don't need 3 screens, 2 are fine for me:) And don't use SLI at all..

I now tried to run the R-MIX with my new GPU, and guess what, no luck:( Will try windows update and see if that changes anything.

The Windows update didn't fix it.

But the Visual Studio 2012 update did the trick:)

Whoever talked about the white screen - there is another pretty current thread in the forum that talks about that, and I think they FIXED it - not 100% sure, about fixed, but it was definitely brought up.

Erik - can you please detail the exact steps and issues to this problem?  I need to understand it better so I can figure out how to approach helping you (if I can),
