ok - I was typing when you posted the results of the MP3 test.

OK - so we have some more debugging to do.

I did not see any response to my earlier questions about sample rates in preferences.

Can you go back and provide that info for me please?

Thanks,

Bob Bone

I also do not see where you told me anything about the sample rate on the interface itself.

Please respond with that, as well.

Imported mp3  is visible but there is no sound

Stinga - that's not a silly question at all.

I have no idea where he stands right now, as once the drivers got installed he kind of went loco and dropped responding to questions on what was what.

So, Afrodrum, can you take a chill pill for a moment and catch up on responding to the requests for information that I have posted?

Obviously, there are some things to continue to do to get you running properly, but you need to participate to be part of the solution.

Bob, perhaps I overlooked your question about sample rate. It is 44.1 in preferences for new projects. It is also  manually switched to 44.1 on device. Yes,  monitors are hooked I toggle between WMP and Sonar to make shure the lack of sound is not because of something stupid.

I suppose I found something, at least now imported mp3 is audible. Playback Timing Master was set to "none"

It's ok - I just need to reign you in until we make sure everything is working.

I know you got excited, but we just need to finish this as methodically as we started, because THAT's what worked to get us past all of that other junk.

So, at this point, you are in your project, you have ASIO specified for your drivers, sampling rate is 44.1 in Sonar and in the interface itself, you have an audio track with an imported MP3, and when you hit play you get no output.

If the above is not correct, then please post back immediately with any corrections.  I am going to start composing another post, based on the above understanding, while you read this one.

Can you please stop tweaking things so that I can walk you through this in a sensible fashion?

Otherwise, I am going to just drop out of the thread.

Don't forget to hold SHIFT key when you start Cakewalk with a new driver - it will run through the audio check program.

Bob, after I changed Playback Timing Master I can hear imported mp3, samples and the rubbish bass lines I recorded the other day.
