I am not sure how to retrieve interface settings like buffers. Windows control panel?

Go to windows control panel and select UA25 from the icon, voila UA25 control panel, it's also available from sonar preferences.

Stinga you are quite correct - I am just trying to go through this once, so everybody can be done with this.

The playback and record timing are set on mine to use out 1 and in 1,so I guess that's ok.

The interface settings seem to show up in a really weird place - All I will be doing is to ask him to alter the buffers, and maybe that load setting - have to go back and read it again.

It this bogs down I will skip to trying to fix that track problem and do this other stuff another time.

Good call on that.

Hey Pawel you there?

That doc looked a lot less scary when it was just on the web

All I was trying to do was to check the buffer size - let's do that another time

OK?  So, would you like to skip that for now and see if we can fix your bass track monitoring?

Sorry - missed that post.

OK - so let's leave that alone for now and see what's happening with your bass track.

Can you please tell me how you have this bass track setup?  Are we in a new project?  This is a REAL bass plugged into an input on the interface?

Please confirm or correct the above

Bob

This real bass guitar plugged directly into Hi Z input of UA-25. When I arm track I can see green volume meter going. Yet I dont hear it. I can record it (without hearing) and I will be able to hear what  is recorded. No complaints about the sound quality

Do you have the Input Echo button on that track lit?  If not, try clicking on it to get it lit up blue, then play some more.

It is a button on the right side of the track name

I am aware of that button, in the past it helped to hear at least something but was awfully distorted.

BUT ITS FINE NOW    !!!!!!!
