Has anyone heard if there is yet a Sonar X2 Power book?  I purchased the Sonar X1 Power The Comprehensive Guide which I found extremely helpful, and was wondering if anyone knew if there was one for Sonar X2.  Thanks.

Hi Ken,

Not yet, but it's in the works.  I still have quite a bit of work to do though, so it's still a few months away.

Thanks!
Scott

Scott,
Thank you so much for the update.  I am from the old school of 2" tape and I am clueless about DAWs and have only been working with Sonar since 2009.  Your books have been a valuable asset to me!  Without them, I can't imagine what I would do.  I appreaciate everything you do!

Hi Ken,

Thanks very much! I appreciate it.

Yeah, I remember 2" tape and reel-to-reel 8-track. That's what we had to use back when I was in college. In a way, things were more straight-forward, but man, some of the things we had to do (like editing tape) were so tedious.

And the things we can do with audio today are just amazing.

Scott - quit dawdling!  I only have the 8.5 book and you're KILLING me here - :)

I REALLY am fond of your attention to detail in your books, and am definitely looking forward to your X2 stab at things,

Hey Bob,

Ha! Don't worry... I'm working my behind off.  But I can't rush the project because if it's full of errors, I'll never heard the end of it.

The good thing about the extra wait is that the book will be based on the final shipping version, not the beta.

Thanks!

I skipped X1 Power I think I shall order X2 Power when it comes out. One main reason is it should be more accurate than the manual.

That's true, so true. I've done some software dev, so I know what you mean.  It would be so nice to create a perfect product, but right off the bat it's a losing game because the software has to be based on the OS, which is something we don't control. Oh, well... eventually we'll have true AI and computers will take over the world, so none of this will matter.

I don't look anything like my avatar. To be honest, I don't know how I came up with that logo. I just sat down one evening and wanted to come up with a logo for the DigiFreq site. So, I doodled around using a program called PhotoImpact and that's what came out.

Oh, but I don't have the beard at the moment... it got too itchy.

Hey John,

Thanks very much! It would be nice if I could get it done quicker, but accuracy and quality is more important.
