hi, i'm wondering if the contentious "multiple VSTs using MIDI out" bug is fixed in x2? i don't have x2 yet so can't test this myself, but it's easily done by downloading, say, JamStix demo, Kirnu (free) or Catanya demo, to test this... thanks in advance! p

Can you point me to a thread discussing this issue?  Or explain it to me?  Perhaps I can assist - certainly to test something in X2 to see if an issue is still present.

But I would like to have a hint as to what the problem is,

Thanks, I have time this morning to do some testing.

Well, I will try to download the Catanya plugin a bit later this morning, and will try to see what's what with it in X2.

I am a bit confused as to why you refer to this as "multiple VST's using midi out", as it seems to be more of a question of using multiple instances of this particular plug in.  Maybe I am not getting something.

I have thus far in X2 had projects with as many as 5 instances of the same plugin (Kontakt 5), with no problem, and also multiple copies of Rapture - using arpeggiated presets, with no trouble - for whatever the worth.

Anyways, I will let you know what happens in a couple of hours or so.  I have been up for many hours now, and it's nappy time.

it's about using more than one VST that sends MIDI out, ie, "multiple VSTs using MIDI out", it doesn't have to be the same VST... thanks for looking :)

I am sorry it is taking so long to test this out for you.  I have to finish laying bass tracks for a rather complex fusion tune that's in 9/8 and has all kinds of syncopated notes.

If I can finish that up today I will try to test this stuff out for you and post results - would at best be later today, might not be until tomorrow.

But I will do it for you, just will take a bit longer than I wanted.

Sorry I have taken SOOOO long.

I will go get a GIANT cup of coffee and try to do all of this for you this morning - like right after I step down the hall for a moment.
