It definitely has that cross of cumbia and dance music. Reminds me of stuff I used to hear back when I lived in San Antonio. Great job, mixwise, you did a good job keeping that synth from overpowering everything. The only thing I might change would be to place the main vocal in a slightly bigger space, particularly the louder passages. Maybe send the vocal to a bus and put some ambience on that bus, fade it in and out as needed.
