I use AD2 all the time but even with their add-on MIDI packs I find there aren't enough beats and fills available. I can construct/edit beats, but with fills I haven't a clue, except for making very simple ones.  Does anyone know of a third party supplier(s) for fills?  I checked GrooveMonkee but they don't seem to sell fills with their packs.

Hi John,
You can use other midi files within AD2.......I do use EZ drummer's midi files in AD2, but the name/tags of the files don't cross over (meaning you'll have to practically name each file after importing them). Not sure if this naming issue is an AD2 prob. or something from EZ that stops the text from crossing over. I haven't imported/used any other 3rd party midi to verify this.

I can't remember the actual path of the folder where to insert these midi files (not at my DAW right now), but if someone doesn't chime in first, I can post it once I get home.

LoopLoft has some fill packs that are good.

If you import 3rd party MIDI, keep in mind that AD2 defaults to a proprietary kit piece note mapping.  You may need to play around with the drum map to get the intended kit pieces to line up properly.  Specifically, click the little ? in the upper right corner of AD2, select Map Window, and then select an appropriate preset.  In many (most?) cases, selecting GM ("General MIDI") will do the trick.  If not, you can play around with the mappings in that window to try to get it right for the specific set of MIDI clips.  This is also useful if you want to have access to the full range of stroke types that AD2 has available to tweak the clips to your liking.  Moving stuff around in the piano roll is also an option but would quickly get tedious if you are trying to go through a bunch of clips to pick out a good fill.

Every GrooveMonkee pack I checked in AD2 has fills. Any particular ones you are interested in?
