Anyone else having this problem?
When I add EZkeys to a track and set up loop points in X2 Sonar crashes at the end of the first loop playthrough.
This is rendering the vst pretty much useless.
Not too sure though if this is a EZkeys or X2 bug

32 bit or 64 bit version of X2 and EZkeys.  I will try to reproduce it this evening.

Does the crash dialog list the module the crash occured in? If not send us the dump and we can find out.

Reproduced in SONAR X1, X2 and 8.5.

Open a new SONAR project and insert EZkeys in a simple instrument track. Do not include any audio or midi in the SONAR tracks.

Do not insert any midi in EZKeys. Set EZK to Follow Host.  Set a looped section from measure 1 - 4.  Press play.  Expected a looped section of silence.  What I got was a SONAR crash in all versions.

To prevent a crash all I needed to do was to insert midi into the EZKeys songtrack or place a midi clip in the SONAR midi track.

I've submitted a similar report to Toontrack.

To the OP:

I might have found a work around.  I am not using a simple instrument track but using the old style midi and audio track.  That might not matter at all though.

I open a new project and insert an EZkeys softsynth.  I immediately drag an EZKeys groove into the EZK song track.  I set up my loop region in SONAR and let it play through the loop a couple of times.  I then drag the loop from the EZK song track into the loop region of SONAR.  I delete the clip out of the EZK song track and let the section loop a few times in SONAR.  After that I find that I can then eliminate the clip from the SONAR and EZK won't crash.

Maybe this will get you going till it can be sorted out properly.

If any of you logged the crash dump please list the CWBRN number and I can look at the cause of the crash. I'm not sure if we have this plugin inhouse,

Thx a lot Mod Bod.
Haven't found the time yesterday to try to reproduce it.
Good to know this is happening on other systems too and not only me.

I will upload a minidump tonight.  Got too late last night and I had to call it a night.

FWIW, Toontrack has a demo version available for download on their site.

Another thing I noticed last night was if I changed the bit depth of the project (16 to 24) prior to running the looped section, I could loop the section with EZkeys empty without a crash.  I thought it might be a bit depth import issue between the two programs but when I opened a new SONAR session, I got the same crash.  If I changed the bit depth back to the original (in a new session - 24 to 16), SONAR wouldn't crash upon looping.
