Hi everyone,

I've just uploaded the latest "live in the studio" video. The track is taken from my second solo album entitled "Living for the Moment" and the song is called "Lightning Strikes".

The album was released in 2013 and was recorded in Sonar X1. I've shot four tracks from the album to include on a "Making of..." DVD in the near future. This is the final track to be filmed before going to print.

Hope you enjoy,
Cheers,
Peter.

Sounds very good! Enjoyed the video! If I had to find something I guess it would be that I thought the bass guitar could come up just a bump, not much ,just a bump!

I really liked it.
Bass and kick are too soft.  There is low end but not as defined as could be.
Compare this to your other song at:

The playing is really good on both of these tracks.  Love the guitar tones.

Thanks Rimshot. I hear what you're saying but the kick and bass are definitely there. In the other track there is far less going on (no double tracked backing guitars).
In the multitrack the bass and kick are actually louder in this track in terms of levels. The bass is also doubling the backing guitar part and there is a bass synth as well which is probably masking the bass a bit.

I do appreciate the feedback though.

Cheers,

Peter.

Hi Peter, if the low end works for you then I am happy.  For some reason, it just doesn't come through clear on my end.  I thought you should know.

Here's bat's latest song where the kick and bass sounds mixed spot on:

Great song and very good video. Love the guitar tones. Listening on my headphones now (neighbours...), and mix sounds great, well balanced.

BTW, the drummer looks like he's really enjoying himself! Love that!

Thanks 3dmus, glad you enjoyed it. Yes Larry loves what he does and really gets into it.

Thanks for the comments,
Cheers
Peter.

The low end always seems to get lost in digital transmission and/or video distribution/playback.

Really solid arrangement.  And yes, the drummer has more "presence"...very inviting.

However as slick as the video production is, I tend to get bored with only music shots and wouldn't have minded some cutaways or visuals to "punch up the action".

Overall super-slick and hi-tech production.  Certainly worth the time and trouble to sit back, enjoy and appreciate.  Thanks for the share, Peter!

Cheers,
Erin

Yeah.... that was really cool.    Although the bottom end was a little light here as well, I didn't really care since it was a good tune!  And great guitar tones as always.
