  • Clip Pan Envelope not working on Clips in (Tracks or) Lanes [Solved?]

I haven't tried this on a simple track, but clips in lanes do not respond to the clip pan envelopes... I've now tried it on two different machines with fresh projects/clips each time...

Just tested... Same for track clip pan

Strange, it's working here. You haven't inadvertently turned global automation read off have you?

Hi Karl...

I'll take a look-see. I don't remember ever turning such off and don't remember where such option is, but I'll look. I seem to remember that on my first attempt I accidentally assigned gain instead of pan and realized it when the volume of the clip got lower...

Thanks for the potential lead... Here's hoping it's the key! ;-)

Thanks again...

The global on/off is in the mix module of the control bar, it's dark grey when off (no read) and almost white when on (read works).

Thanks for the pointer... The grey is deceiving...

But it is/was on... I verified by turning it off and then back on...

Clip Gain works fine...
Clip Pan does nothing...

On two different machines;
One Vista32
Other Win7Pro x64

Keni are you expecting the track pan or volume faders to reflect the envelopes or not hearing the changes at all?

They are both working here but aren't reflected in any of the controls, which is by design as the track volume and pan aren't being changed, only the clip.

I'm assuming track pan is still working OK; i.e., it's not a mono bus or similar?

Hi Karl...

No... Not visual... auditory...

I have the track panned center... I assign the clip pan to shift that clip's pan to hard left... I still hear it centered...

It's this way here on two machines. One Vista32 and the other Win7Pro x64 which has both a 64&32 bit versions of X2 and all three versions/installations are not responding to clip pan tho they are responding to clip gain... Tracks or lanes....

Hi Steve...

Track pan is working fine as is clip gain.... Only Clip Pan (so far) is not working...

It's a mono track (vocal) feeding into a stereo bus... I can pan the track, but not the clip...

Thanks...
