I saw Jimmy Landry give a demonstration at Guitar Center in NYC and he touched on using R-Mix to eliminate unwanted sound/noise, etc. from recorded tracks. Turns out I had the perfect use for this...
I had recorded a narration that was going to coincide with music underneath (Christmas Carol - Ghost of Christmas Present). When I recorded the actor's speech, I let him listen to an improv piano piece I had recorded to give him the mood and feel and timing. Unfortunately, when I recorded his voice I also recorded the sound of the piano from his headphones.
This became a problem when I wrote the real cue and put his narration on top to give him the timing of the final cue. The sound of the headphone piano was REALLY distracting (different timing).
So, to make a long story short... too late...
I used R-Mix to effectively "remove" the headphone piano from the narration track! I couldn't believe how easy it was. With just a little bit of experimenting, it was gone.
R-Mix... try it.... you'll like it!
Thank you, Jimmy
