I had this problem in X1 and it seems to still exist in X2. I will be using the Step Recording feature of Sonar during which time I cannot enter any numbers into the pattern field i.e.; 12.34.5. from the numeric keypad and/or from the numbers at the top of the keyboard. In fact when trying the numbers at the top of the keyboard, the screen sets appear as you would expect in Console mode or Track mode. I can delete the numbers and if I use notepad to construct the numbers can paste into the field but from that point on, I cannot enter or edit any characters.

Yeah the step recording window is messed up. If you enter the patterns in notepad and paste them in, you can't select them from the list later using the arrow keys, as the arrow keys will just scroll up and down in the track view instead. Lots of other inconsistencies.

PLEASE fix the step record window, it's so much better for working with patterns than the step sequencer.
