Since R-mix introduces latency, it apparently stresses the midi prepare buffer. The recommended setting is 500 ms (or up?).

Yeah, screw you bvideo :), you've solved my rmix-ezdrummer problem that had me perplexed in one easy sentence.

I know exactly what Magbass is talking about. The same thing happened to me. I haven't used it since.

MagBass I figured it out.  On the trk select stereo and it will place the signal in the middle where it belongs. It worked for me. Hope this helps you.

Ok, I have to admit R-Mix does have some issues.  Not unworkable, but bothersome.

First, I already had my midi read ahead set to 500ms (GOOD catch bvideo) so that's why I wasn't having any dropout/audio problems when using R-Mix. However, the project I was working on where I used R-Mix developed a bad latency problem with one of my soft synths. I finally tracked it down to R-Mix which was being used on a completely different track that was just an audio wav.  Turning off R-Mix on that track solved my latency problem on the soft synth track (actually, tracks, it was affecting all the instances of my synth).  My workaround was to apply the R-Mix to the audio track, bounce it to a fresh audio track, then delete the R-Mix from the first track.  Now my audio track is the way I want it and all latency issues have disappeared.  Anyway, it seems that there are still some issues with R-Mix that the Bakers need to look at.

Best,
Rob

When you say select stereo do you mean the Interleave of the track?

I've been fooling with it a bit more after reading this and @rcrees' thread further and found that one of my problems was as I suspect you're mentioning: that you have to be using a stereo track to begin with.  The first tracks I tried were actually mono tracks, so that was my fault.  The problems with not being able to control the Frame properly may have to do with my video card, as I don't have those troubles at all on my notebook.  So, now to see what I can do about that...

The plugin is kind of interesting, so I suppose I'd change video cards if that's what it takes to get it running.
