Been looking at the Stormdrum series.
If you have it/them how would you rate it?

I have Komplete Ultimate and some other sample libraries would I pretty much be covering the same territory?

I use Stormdrum 2 on a LOT of projects. 3 I use quite a bit as well. They are well rounded libraries.

I have trouble using them because they're such resource hogs.

EastWest stock clearing at Amazon UK

Stock clearing. EastWest products (boxed) shipped from Amazon UK:

For one week, all titles get an extra 30% discount on advertised price. Total discount is around 75%.

So I ordered the Pianos Platinum bundle (263 GB on a hard drive) for $99 plus p&p.
I'm thinking about getting SD3, even with shipping to US it'll run me $155.26 USD (shipped on HD).
Looks like a great price.

I prefer SD2 + Pro to SD3. There is also SoundIron's Apocalypse percussion, which runs in Kontakt. Has a lot of similarities to Stormdrum.

I have SD2 Pro and SD3 but generally end up using SD2 Pro. I don't know what other libraries you have so I don't know if you would be duplicating anything. Compared to the base Ultimate Storm Drum or Apocalypse Percussion are completely different animals.

As a Deadhead I want SD3 very badly, due to Mickey Hart's involvement.  It still seems too pricey even when on 50% sale, though.  Not sure I want to order it from the UK.

SD3 deals much more with traditional and ethnic drums where SD2 is much more cinematic in nature. Something to keep in mind when looking at both.
