This version adds Advanced Komplete Kontrol Integration

Hate it. I deleted the Komplete Kontrol software.  It's also annoying they want to install that hardware driver when you don't have any NI hardware.

Point taken on the driver, but I never worried about it before I got NI hardware, it seem pretty innocuous.

Of course you don't need a NI keyboard to use several of the features of Komplete Kontrol software. The performance modes (Scales, chords and arpeggiator) seem to work fine if I connect my old A-PRO 800 with the S61 turned off. I must admit I am finding the KK browser (which also works with out the hardware) much more useful than I imagined it would be.

The main advantage of Komplete Kontrol for me is having the encoders mapped and labelled with the name of the mapped parameter. So much easier than MIDI learn. Of course this needs a NI keyboard but I am getting far more out of my VST and Kontakt libraries now I have this feature.

But if you forget to open up Kontrol and let it do it's business all NI plugins will not scan in your DAW.

Not sure what you mean by this...
The individual NI plugins scan and open fine here.

FWIW, you can remove the Komplete Kontrol driver via Programs And Features.

Is this referring to Windows or some feature in the Service center?

"Programs And Features" (in Control Panel) is the typical method of uninstall in Windows 7/8/10.
The Komplete Kontrol driver shows up as a separate entry... and can be uninstalled (separately).

I have certainly not noticed any issues in Sonar Platinum.
