Don't know if the new engine is a killer advance over earlier versions, but stopped buying upgrades with ver 5.
Looks like most of the libraries are the same as those included way back then.
Not a bad Rompler, but strange attrition like others, it just sorta drifted off the map and the gigabytes of samples never reinstalled with computer upgrades. Kontakt and others taking the front row. Maybe left a niche gem behind in retrospect.
For 25 dollars, this is definitely worth the investment if you want another rompler. Many cool sounds. Stab in the gut thinking about how much I paid for ver 4 and the upgrades.
One cult classic under the radar by the Wusik guys is the EVE rompler. Saw that they include maybe some limited library from EVE.
If you are a Mellotron freak, you got to have EVE. No dynamics beyond velocity, like loading a soundfont file. However, some really really nice mellotron files, hybrids. Extends the keyboard range of the original mellotrons credible above and below the original limits (like IK Sampletron).
Digging under the couch for lost quarters. Then will have to figure out whether to spend the money on Wusik 8 or beer.
