It feels like a big waste of space showing the uppeer handle of clips with just the clip name and such... Especially in long clips most of it is simply a non-used area somewhat...
 
I just feature requested making the waveform display occupy the entire track height and the upper handle/name/other handle-related access to be visible only on a mouse over...
 
Of course, these things should be optional and the user's choice...
 
Anyone else?

That's probably the display clip names option... But then I won't be able to see them... I still want to but only when I ask to (on the fly). I haven't tried that yet,. I don't know if it will simply leave the header there and blank (no name) as it's somewhat of a marker for the mouse options that activate in that area...

I will try the option mentioned tho and see if I feel better...?

I can see that they defaulted that to help people remember the new need to grab clips from the clip header... I'm sure I'll forget many times for a while until it becomes habit but in the end I believe I'm gonna like this aspect of X2...

Now if it would display only the selected clips from lanes in the track's view I might really enjoy Lanes some! ;-)
