Hey Noel !

Regarding the Audio Engine improvements  - I realize you wont want to be too specific prior to release, but:-

=> are the X2 Audio Engine improvements  in addition  to the native Windows 8 better load balancing & low latency improvements  ?

and

=> I realize that after Sonar 4  [ from memory ]  the phrase  " gapless audio " is not often spoken of  [ :) ]  but will we be seeing some Audio Engine improvmements in this area also with X2 ?

I personally need to see that Cakewalk has the ability to stabilize X1 first. Hard to jump on board X2 when X1 has been out 20 mos or so and is still not as solid as 8.5.3. Fastbouncing of timecode based plugins has been broken since X1d in March. Still can't drag midi fx from clip to bin without fatal crash. can't delete a midi clip with a midi effect without fatal crash. If the bakers haven't gotten it by now, what makes us think anythings going to be different in X2. Nudge still broken in multilane midi tracks. Gtr rig (or any timecode plugin) won't follow tempo when fastbounced, only receives the first tempo in the tempo list. I could go on.

I notice musicians only complain about the bugs in music software, and hold the music software companies to a much higher standard than they do Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, Yahoo, and other companies with massive resources...

I almost never hear people complain, "my internet explorer, my chrome, my iphone, my windows is constantly crashing, and seems quite buggy."

iExplore?  It crashes.  Chrome? quite often.  All my apple products?  troubles - from blank screens, to powercords I was constantly having to buy ( infact, my next phone?  a windows phone, meh.. I'm over apple )...   If there is one software that I can not stand at all, "its microsoft word." and facebook is the buggiest website on earth.

btw, I notice Sonar does crash on that midi-clip/midi-effect thing..  and Rapture is on life support over here..  There's something terribly wrong.

Other than those two things for me..  Sonar be extremely stable over here..   does not crash, or have more bugs than any of my other licensed music tools...

For a 8.5.3 user like me, I would like to upgrade, but I like the coloring scheme in 8.5.3
Does X2 get closer to this than X1 ???

I did not read every post in this thread, so I apologize if it was discussed.  I saw posts that asked about color scheme.

THANKS,
AB

Bet they still haven't added "time of selected area" for all us commercial broadcast guys yet.

Looking great so far, excited about Automation Lanes and Auto Zoom.

But surely, the most important question is, will there be a Sonar coffee mug available to buy too??

Dammit I want that coffee mug!! ;)

Sorry you can't have that :)

My sister can make those mugs in her sleep....
