The icon on the left sort of looks like a Celtic design, and the one on the right seems to be a mountain with a flag on it.    Perhaps X2 is all set to conquer Ireland?

or half of it anyway.

Any preference between the east and west sides, Karl?

SSL, Neve and API style emulations.

If the emulation is good... that'll do it for me.

hen I was auditioning the industry standard, Pro Tools 10, I found that a lot of what used to be accessible in S8.5 was a mouse click or two away.

FWIW, I have ProTools on my DAW... but I'm not crazy about the UI and work-flow.
Exactly for the reasons you state here...

I see they still haven't increased the widget size to prevent label munging:

FWIW, I believe Brandon mentioned that the GUI pictured was not the final product.
This may or may not be addressed... but you might want to wait for release pics.

I was kinda looking forward to a mastering suite, ie., Studio One project page.  It updates your master if you make changes to your mix.  I love that feature.

That's a very unique (somewhat revolutionary) feature in Studio One.
Very cool/useful...

Bet they still haven't added "time of selected area" for all us commercial broadcast guys yet.

I find myself using that feature constantly when editing video in Vegas Pro.

How do you guys know that you dont need to uninstall or delete X1? How close are you guys to telepathy or the insiders at cakewalk? Surpises me how much knowledge of a new product you have got. Wouldn't it be better to wait and see or to ask questions to get information first.

Based on the past 16+ software releases, I think it's pretty safe to assume that the new version will install side-by-side with Sonar 8.5 and/or X1.
To do otherwise would be a major disservice to transitioning end-users.

All of us in the voiceover business have been asking for this for years.  But just the sound of crickets mostly, in return.  Although my ol pal Colonel Ryan did say he thought it was a good idea once;-)
