Not to mention if people start hotlinking those images to other sites the servers take the extra traffic for stuff that has nothing to do with their site.

FYI you can edit FF posts with links in them if you remove all the HTML tag stuff around the link. Still a pain.

I've started posting links in the post preceding or following any I've added HTML to just in case.

so, why not use the IE tab with FF 15.1

It works perfectly

Just type, press return            tab            or whatever

I just keep getting distracted by the other shiny light box on my desk. It's much cooler than this one. ;-)

I'm using opera, only problem I have is the forum software sticking extra spaces in front of newlines and the occasional youtube video that doesn't work when I hit a google server that forces html5 on me.

btw Hotlinking shouldn't be a problem for any website that has a webmaster worth his salt, it's trivial to generate an .htaccess file that blocks hotlinking for any other site not in an approved list of sites allowed to hotlink. I've run a fair share of forums, you can even get creative and show "another" image in place of the hotlinked image so they don't do that again (VERY Evil smily)

Is anyone else having a hard time with this?

I'm still running Firefox 5 on all of my machines so that I can use this forum... and now the situation is getting more difficult as the latest flash (I've gotta use it whether I want to or not) will not install on Firefox 5... <sigh>...

Too many sites use Flash and many of them are now not working and require that I install 11.4, which of course, I can't....

Is there a newer version of Firefox that will still work ok for quoting and replies in this forum?

Thanks...
Keni

Just FYI I'm still using FF 3.6.28 with Flash 11.1 even though Adobe site says that even 10.3  must have FF 4.0 or higher. Not had any issues at all either with this forum or flash not working.

FF 15 with IE tab here. I find quick reply a little funky for some things but the full version works great.

This is entered via Quick reply, it's just the quoting is a little strange in it and I use the full version when quoting.

I tried Chrome for a while, just didn't like it as much and still couldn't load images on here so came back to FF.
