I am having difficult in X2 using the split clip feature in Lanes. Using the alt key to get the split clip tool and a left click works fine on a track with a single take. However, it seems to want to split the Lane above the one I am clicking in when working in Lanes. Obviously that leaves me unable to split the last take Lane. Is there a different way of using the tool in a lane than in a single track?

I'm not sure why you are seeing that behaviour, that certainly isn't what I see here.

Are these regular clips? MIDI, audio or both? Sounds like there's something funky happening for you.

Happening to me also. i can't split a clip in a take lane. Any ideas ??

I would like to turn on/off the "option" to split all the lanes at once. I hope you can find the answer to your problem as well. 

Oddly enough, this doesn't happen in all of the tracks with multiple take lanes. Some function as I would expect, others don't. I think that one difference may be that in the tracks with the problem, all of the Takes were not recorded in the same session. In the case of a vocal track, a scratch take was recorded as a guide for recording other instruments. In a later session, additional takes of the vocal track were recorded and the original take was deleted. On the tracks where splitting clips works 'correctly', all of the takes were recorded in a single session.
