I am an X1 Studio Owner and I have made the jump to Live 8 rather than going to X2. I would like to keep my Cakewalk and specifically the Sonitus fx and use them in Live for my music. I will still use Sonar periodically for stuff like video but for the most part I will be all Live. That said I do not really need these fx in Sonar but would love them in Live. Sonar is installed everything has been installed into my vst folder but these fx are not appearing in my vst list. What can I do?

The Sonitus plugs are DX effects not VSTs. They might work with dxshell.

I believe the Sonitus plugins are available in VST form in the Cakewalk Store for $99.

I thought it was $29 but maybe that was a limited time offer.

Yes 32bit VST. They did have a promo price a few months ago. It pays to check the monthly specials page every now and then.
