I really didn't get far before hitting my 1st snag..  I downloaded all files for producer X2, saved to a folder, loaded to a big thumb drive, took that to my DAW (is not online) and put the folder on the desktop.     I clicked on the 1st main file "02 SONAR_X2_Producer.part1"  it started ... "extracting Setup 1 bin...."   All is good!
then I get a message saying " please download and run previous packages."  What packages?  This is the 1st file of the install?  I have everything in one folder as instructed right? What am I missing here, please help me out guys!  thank you in advance!

I installed from DVD's, but the first file is called Read_This_First.exe. Could that be the actual start of the installer?? Don't know myself but worth checking out.

I clicked that, (despite the tendency to skip instructions)  and clicking on "read me - En" opened a document about know issues within the version but there is no  Read_This_First.exe file there that I can see.?

Try this if this work. Assuming you had downloaded all 4 files in perfect condition (uncorrupted). You might have to install each file manually in the correct order . Disregard the " please download and run previous packages" message.

It is extracting parts 1 & 2 (no idea where it's putting them as they are not yet landing in my cakewalk folder) and when it get's to part 3 everytime I get the same message.... "Please Download & run previous packages". I am sure it is me doing something wrong but I have no clue what it is.

Are you running part 1 "As Administrator"?

there is small chance you one of your file is not downloaded completely. Does it has the X2 logo? Also, check your file size against the file size of the download link.

I haven't been doing the "as Administrator" option.  Should I be?

I will check DL Sizes again.

When does this give me the option to do a custom install?  (there are items I never use & don't want to reload as I already have them)

Yes, they all have the logo.  Where is the list of file sizes to check against?
