Has anyone tried V-Vocal in take lanes?
 
I have a track with multiple vocal takes.  When I use V-Vocal on a lane, it does not mute the underlying clip.  Every clip except the one I'm editing is muted, so I know it's not audio from an adjacent lane.  I can't find the un-edited clip, but I can still hear it.  This means I can't use V-Vocal at the moment.
 
Is there something I'm missing?

Yesterday I posted the same problem on the forum but nobody answered. I am having exactly the same problem with V-vocal on lanes...its not muting the underlying clip!
 
The only workaround that I have found is to move the v-vocal clip to another lane and mute manually the underliyng clip.
 
Lets hope Cakewalk solves this soon because its a feature that I use a lot on vocals

I reinstalled X2, then retested and I THOUGHT the problem was solved.  Now I'm thinking that I didn't test it in lanes, so it may not be solved.  I'll give it a try as soon as I can and report back.

BTW as a work-around you don't have to move the V-Vocal clip to another lane-  You can just grab the edge of the clip, slip edit it just enough to expose the underlying clip, mute it, then slip edit the V-Vocal clip back to the original length.  For me that's quicker than moving to another lane, but some might prefer that technique.

Thanks CoteRotie - I never thought to slip-edit to find the underlying clip.  I had tried moving the clip vertically, but that didn't help.  Thanks for the work-around!

Just confirmed that the problem still exists, reinstalling didn't fix it, I just didn't test it in take lanes.
