Wow!

So many little details making this a much more comfortable environment for me...

Now we can click anywhere in a clip and it both selects the clip as well as sets the now time locator (as in the old days). A Dbl-Click opens the PRV and "nothing is selected"! What a relief! I can't count how often I have to undo/redo my first motion in X1's PRV as I continually forget that all notes are selected...

New draw note function is fast and easy and the timeline drag-zoom is being so very handy! the auto-snap looks as tho it's gonna be very fast for a lot of work too... I can hardly wait!

I must admit that I'm having a lot of fun with so many things in X2.... Having the FX Chains in PC so we can now interleave our VST's with the PC modules... Outstanding! (Tho I use very little other than the PC modules lately)...

So not much I can do with this machine yet as I'm running the internal chip set for audio while I await the arrival of a new audio interface... It should be here by the middle of next week!

I've got a long way to go getting up to speed in X2 and used to all the new abilities... but so far the changes feel so natural to me they feel like old shoes!

Many Thanks Bakers! You listened... You heard... You excelled!  Kudos Galore!

Too bad you didn't include SonarPlus built in with it as those are a few items still missing from the build... But it appears that there is a new Duck on the horizon to address those issues (and more) for us!

Thanks You All!

I agree Keni. I'm loving X2 so far.

I recently moved and don't have a place to record set up yet, but I've been remixing some old projects, and doing some new midi ones on my headphones, and I haven't had a single hiccup so far (after the Quick Fix).

PRV got flaky on me once, but only once, and hasn't happened since.

You know all those problems I had with X1, and everyone said it was my system? Well, funny how X2 seems to have fixed all those Pro Channel and instability problems, isn't it?

Glad all is going well with SX2 for you guys. I too had a great session and quite a long run this past weekend. Before the patch I had one crash in SX2 (x64 bit) while adjusting some settings in pro channel but since installing the quick fix patch SX2 has been rock solid for me. The only problem I'm still having is with Rapture Pro (x64). The box to enter my serial number is grayed out even with "run as admin" selected. Rap Pro LE is fine and both versions of Rapture are working in SX2 32 bit. I think I read where the bakers are working on a fix. I hope they come up with one soon as I don't want to re-install anything again. I might break something else...

Holy crap that was annoying. I did that every time. Open piano view, move a note, they all moved. Curse myself. CTRL-Z.

I think we've got a winner in X2! So far there have been very few bugs or complaints.... I'm guessing these little hangs will soon be resolved as it should be easy for The Bakers to focus on so few issues...

It's good to see that X2 is working so well for you, Keni!   I know you had some doubts in X1 but plowed ahead anyway, so it's nice to see that it's paying off now.   Have you played around with the new automation lanes at all?    Just curious.

Bub, see Mudgel's posts, he seems to be experiencing the same thing.

Though I never had many problems with X1 myself, the overall X2 experience is still so much better than X1.   It really is a "better feeling" version to me in pretty much every way.

Have you guys noticed, clicking on a track in track view while working in Piano View, resets the piano view's zoom to minimum and the player to 0. (in piano view)

EDIT: pressing play sets the marker back to the now time, so the reset is a moment's frustration but fixes itself. The zoom issue though remains.

Hi Steve...

Thanks... I haven't put it thru any real work yet, so there may be "issues", but feature-wise, it's much more what I expected X1 to be and remained shocked and pained at it's initial release... Many things improved withthe point releases, but these issues were still a pain... No longer!

I can't do any real-work testing for another week or so as I'm awaiting my interface and running at 72ms latency with the built-in Realtek chip set is just too un-real! ;-)

These items I've mentioned are such in-your-face items that the relief is astounding!

I did play with the lanes a little and tho I'm definitely not a fan of lane-style work in general, the implementation in X2 might be just the "hybrid" to work for me... But I still would like to have pop-ups of the envelopes names with a mouse-over.... that's still something missing... Time will tell if my opinion and work habits change in this regard... Right now I'm feeling so good about the choices made for X2 that I'm hoping to find lanes a good thing when implemented in this way! ;-)

What about you? Have you made the change yet?

Hi...

Are you using the PRV in the multidock? I haven't noticed such a problem (yet) using the PRV as non-floating, full-screen...
