OK... let me see if I can respond to all these comments
Markno999: bass, what are you listening on since I have plenty of bass not only in the studio but on the mp3 player as well.
teego: thanks.... as far as todays standards.... this song isn't even in the running. It's not contemporary sounding enough. Unless it was co-written with a N-town star, and it wasn't, it will never make it past the guardians of the gates.
Robby: yeah I just need to break out of the box every so often..... all that hip-hop and rap stuff I write .... I need a break with some country every now and then. ;-) thanks for the listen... you know you loved it. BTW, I don't have sufficient hair for that pompadour look thing.....
Mike: glad you enjoyed it
Scotty: yeah, that Willie thing, I really am not trying to do that....clear and crisp is what I am trying to achieve. Thanks
Schafe: On intros..... I try to shoot for a short intro. Not to exceed 13 seconds max where possible. Some I do ease in with the music and others...this one, .......1,2,3,4 lets go...!! Thanks
Kenny: I do the same thing with every song.... I trim the count in off, after the last drumstick tick..... then I add 500 milliseconds (1/2 a second) of silence at the start. So you are correct when you said it starts in less than a second after hitting play. All my tunes follow this rule. On a CD, if I burned CD's, there is 2 seconds between tracks so I want the tune to start as relatively immediately as possible after the beginning of the wave. I send tunes to libraries for TV and film and they want the song to start quickly. I'm glad you enjoyed the tune in spite of the quick startup.
Mike: It's the tele on the POD with a black panel fender dialed up. Also my Taylor acoustic is in the mix.
Thanks to all for listening and commenting.
