and should alert folks to the fact that the DAW they use, and recording rig, really does not matter that much.

Those are indeed words of wisdom! I had a listen to your music and wow! it is fantastic!

Favorite plug has got to be the Pultec emulations from Nomad, PSP, IK, and Waves. I love that damn eq!

Most used is Old Timer comp by PSP. Great little plug. And I got it at the intro price. What a buy!!

I've heard about this plug for years..
but have never had a chance to demo it....

what i like:
WAVES:  renaissance comp, renaissance de-esser, renaissance verb,
C1, Linear phase eq, Linear phase multiband, L1, L2, supertap.

if i can find plugs that sound and act SIMILAR, but use less CPU and ram,
that's what i'd like.

I agree. That NobleQ is a special EQ. : )

Oh, and that wonderful Custom EQ and Lift.
Here's hoping Slate will eventually allow for computer iLok.

Exactly. I was current on the Slate plugs when I was on Win7 and the iLok dongle worked, more or less; well, OK, mostly less. I managed to move my Slate licenses off the dongle and am waiting (not patiently, but certainly not holding my breath) for them to support computer authorization (which works great for me (UVI, Eventide, Softube so far)).

Come on Steven! Some of us are on PCs!

Side note: The v3.0.0 update notes for the iLok License Manager mentioned something about no longer installing legacy dongle support. Maybe it'll run better (heck, at all!) now under Win10. I'm just really gun shy about trusting that dongle again. Kinda like a relationship. She cheated on me once; I never trusted her again. Way it goes.

yep , the computer I-lok would be great for that .
Don´t like the crappy (worthless and expensive) usb stick.

It's not fancy, really, but it's a fantastic and affordable EQ: http://ddmf.eu/iieqpro-equalizer-plugin/

I own FF's Pro Q2 and yeah, that's more transparent, no question, but the IIEQPro has an exacting quality, a very cutting filter, and it doesn't destroy your CPU.
