From their email annoucement

we just released a new plugin - Krush - a bit-crusher - and a bit more!
Even better: we made it free!

Have never ever been a fan of bit crushers. My workflow trying to clean up everything in the opposite direction.

My bias aside, the company did a fine delay. Anything to die for in Krush beside respected freeware status?

Thanks Scook.

Not a fan of bit-crushers, either. But I've been playing around with this one for about a week now and have been surprised by it.

It's not just a bit-crusher, it's actually three effects (all of which may be modulated) plus a filter. It's also got separate wet and dry faders for parallel distortion. If you don't like wordlength-reduction effects, try just the Drive control alone, which adds conventional third-harmonic distortion (quite a lot of it if you want). The "dwsp" effect is a kind of ring modulator, which of course can achieve some  out-there effects, especially when sync-modulated.

Not everyone's cup o' tea, for sure. But a fun little tool if you're the type that likes to see just how far you can mangle a sound. Or just someone who compulsively collects free stuff.

Stereotyped on the last two accounts, so got to download it and kick the tires.

Thanks Bit,
