X1 has produced so many problems recently that I un-installed it. I've worked with Pro Audio 9
for many years and it does everything I want, except it doesn't have the effects that x1 has.
I want to re-install x1 without any bells or whistles (beatscape, dimension et. al). I would like to
include Guitar Rig 4, though. Would just installing Producer & Guitar Rig dvds give me what I need?
All I'm going to do is add 1 or 2 guitar tracks against some .mid files I've assembled, and process
the audio.
I'd appreciate your input. Everyone wants more; I want less.

In addition to skipping the Beatscape and DimPro installers, you may want to perform a custom SONAR install. That will allow you to select the features that you want from the SONAR installer. Of course, you will want to run the install process as an administrator.
