  • Back button support in the browser

Any chance? Seems like a pretty trivial feature to add, and would greatly enhance the Sonar browsing experience. Back button support is standard these days in both Windows and common browsers, so it's always a little jarring to hit that button to go back up a level only to find it doesn't do anything.

The go "back one level" button in my browser window works fine.

It allows me to go right back to the Windows directory where all my drives are shown. Even if I start in the Loops or other specified default directories.

That behavior is consistent across both SONAR X1d Expanded and X2

Strange! The back button on my Logitech mouse doesn't do anything in the browser. It works everywhere else on my computer.

Well now I'm angry with my mouse. How dare it!

The Back button on my mouse (Microsoft wireless laser) also doesn't do anything in the browser. I think Mudgel may be talking about the software "up one level" button rather than the hardware button

Oh right. Didn't read Mudgel's post clearly enough. So, my original point still stands. Should be able to navigate in the browser with our mouse's forward/backward buttons!

The word mouse was not mentioned in the OP.
I was of course referring to the actual "Back Button" in SONAR's browser.

I wonder if anyone gets the mouse "Back" button to work in the usual Windows way in the browser. This has a different behaviour to the Move up one level button in Sonar, and for people who are used to navigating backwards and forwards using mouse buttons, this would be a nice feature.

I thought it would have been obvious I was talking about the mouse, sorry! Of course the "back button" button is supported in the browser, otherwise it wouldn't be there. They wouldn't draw a button and not activate it, after all!

That's what I thought you meant that the back button in SONARs browser wasn't working. I thought it might have been a screen redraw issue as per the ProChannel. Sorry my misunderstanding.

I've never had a mouse with a back button(that I'm aware of anyway).  I'm a big keyboard shortcut user along with a control surface.
