I am running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. In trying to extract the DSF Symphonic Strings, the computer freezes at 99% unzipped. I even have to go to Task Manager to recover control of Windows. I tried two different file managers with the same result. I tried downloading the file from Cakewalk again, same result. Elsewhere I read that others were successful leaving Microsoft Essentials running while installing X2, and I left mine on. Could this be the problem? Any suggestions before I contact Support? Thank you.

Try disabling Microsoft Security Essentials...got nothing to lose at this point.

I had to disable MSE before I could get the file to completely download - as soon as I had it, I re-enabled MSE, and it installed fine.
