  • Disappearing tracks in X2?

Just upgraded to X2+QuickFix a couple days ago and I seem to have lots of problems with track visiblillity.

All of a sudden when coming from my console screenset all my tracks disappear from track view, folders are still visible, I don't have anything hidden via H track manager and if I go to console view all the tracks are there, just not in track view.

If I save the project and open it again all tracks come back.

EDIT: It seems like if I switch to any screenset and then back I loose visibillity of all tracks that are not in folders. Also track visibillity manager doesn't seem to work at all in track view. I can toggle the visibillity of any track and nothing happens, folders work, if I hide them or show then it works, all the tracks that are invisible will not react to toggling thier visibillity state. For example one of the tracks that are now gone is showing as visible in the track manager with a checkmark, I turn it off so there's no checkmark and hit OK, then open the track manager again and it's still checked even though I just unchecked it. If I do the same to a track folder it works fine.

Ok this is driving me up the wall

Tracks in trackview that are not in a track folder will disappear when I switch to another screenset and back, they are not hidden via track manager.

I've figured out a way to make the tracks appear again when this happens, I add a track to a folder, then select remove track from folder and them bam... all the other tracks appears again.

Gotta be a bug.

I've had a couple of times when a couple of tracks have disappeared in one screenset's track view, but not in any other. They still played back OK, and I found saving the file then closing and re-opening the project (not Sonar itself) restored things to normal. It looks like the screensets getting out of sync with each other somehow.

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) it's only happened a couple of times, and I can't seem to reproduce the issue.

The bad part was that it was my composing template that I start new projects from that was doing this.

Yeah my hunch was also something screnset related.

I seem to have fixed it now, I unlocked my track view screenset once it happened again, got the tracks to appear with the "add track to folder, then remove from folder" fix, then locked the screenset again and resaved my template, hasn't happened since.

Phew :D

Good to hear you've solved it. Might be worth putting a bug report in though, especially if you can reproduce the problem.
