It's important to submit a tech request on all issues you have with the VS-700. While I agree that the software for the VS-700 doesn't change and update with each new version of Sonar, the real reasons for that could be quite a bit more complex than we think. While you'd think that all the updates would run in unison, it's never been that way. Do I want the VS-700 to work flawlessy with each new version of Sonar? Hello, yes! What it takes to do that, I couldn't tell you.
I think it is completely sloppy that cakewalk would release a new version of sonar without updating all control surface dlls. And that is precisely what they do year after year after year. It's like hey, check this out, we are now compatible with control surface brand x. The following release of Sonar completely brakes the control surface and they give it no concern what so ever. To see they do this with their own control surface is completely inexcusable. It should not be released without 100% functionality. Completely ridiculous.
