Thanks Ryan.  Everything is working here. A couple of bumps, but I've got Rapture working.

Maybe it would work if we could get Rapture LE off our puters? How do we do that?

I installed 64 Bit version during install   It  Runs fine  outside of Sonar, and  took Ser and Act key fine. However it cannot be selected as Synth insode Sonar X2 Does not show up in Instruments
It is located  in Programs(386)?

BTW did not find Stand Alone version in link provided and I uninstalled the version I have. Do I need to re install Sonar X2???

I also uninstalled Sonar X1 and removed all X1 instances from registry

Don't know about anyone else but like with X1 I am glad to pay more for the Boxed version. I saved the BIN Files so I can reinstall without the Unzipping procedure. Will likely convert to DVD ROM

EDIT: FIXED
1. Uninstalled Rapture (Using Revo uninstaller (which scans all instances in Registry and Doc folders for deletion)
2. Re installed X2 using custom install Checked off ONLY Rapture (64 Bit)

Put in Ser Number
Rebooted Sonar X2
Dragged Rapture to track opened and put in Act Key

Everything is working (even Rapture (32) is showing up in instrument list

Oops Not so fast...No MIDI Arp EFX will not load...Crashed X2

Reinstalling.......So much for the creative juices....

I just found a way to get Rapture to install.
The specific problem I was getting was the Dim Pro error that opened up the browser at the Dim Pro download page and aborted the installation.

I used the updated download file that Ryan had temporarily posted this afternoon and has subsequently been taken down.

I went into the registry and renamed Dimension Pro(by right clicking on the name and selecting rename) to Dimension Gro with the hopes that this might bypass that error and lo and behold it did.

I then ran the install package with Run as Admin and it ran properly and asked for serial number etc.
I opened up Sonar and Rapture was there, and after loading for first time it asked for my Registration number and then worked as advertised.

I then went back to regedit (I had just minimized it during this process) and renamed Dimension Gro back to Dimension Pro.

The location for the regedit entry was (please note that this is on a 64bit machine)
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Cakewalk Music Software\Dimension Pro]
(if you are running on a 32bit machine it Dim Pro entry may be at a different location)

Please note the following cautions:
I am running on a XP Pro 64bit (and X2 is actually working great on it, by the way) so other operating systems may differ.
I had had Dim Pro 1.5 previously installed and did not use the current download.
The installer was  run from the downloaded version that was temporarily available earlier today so I don't know if this would solve the problem with the original Sonar X2 install package.
I was getting the Dimension Pro install error box.

Hopefully this may provide some assistance for Ryan to come up with a solution for a quick fix Rapture install program.

Edit Sept 23, 5pm
As Rickpaul indicates in post 101 if you have the 32bit Dim Pro installed it will be at the following location.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\Dimension Pro]

If both 32 and 64bit are installed you would need to change both reg names.

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but thought I'd throw it out there.

Rapture 64 - no previous install.  Downloaded it last night.

I got the stand alone version to accept the serial/reg numbers.  However, w/i SONAR it says I'm not the administrator and the reg # is blanked out.  Of course I'm the ad - only user on the system.  Wind 7 64 bit.

As far as DimPro - it won't accept the reg # that was sent in my email from registering.

Demo mode for 30 days so that is no big rush.

Any ideas?  I didn't see any posts exactly this these problems.

I did a custom install of X2 & left DimPro out of it so mine's still working
X1 gave me problems - kinda like X2 has with Rapture
Hopefully this time they'll get it sorted

Installation of SX2 and Rapture went fine for w7-64, and w8-64.

But not for w7-32.  I got the dreaded DP update message.

Another clue???

8.53 is installed on the w7-32 partition.

It is NOT installed on the w7-64, or the w8-64 partitions.

I installed X2 over the weekend on Windows 7 64 bit and like many others here, Rapture did not install. Somewhere in this odyssey Rapture LE got broken and I can't use that either.

Just the normal early adopter challenges. I am sure we will resolve all of these issues given a little time. :-)
