Linear Phase
What if Cakewalk couldn't retire Rapture till they fixed all the bugs?  What if that was Dr. Evil's next Evil Scheme...   We would watch the apocalypse dawn, and all that would be left; a tiny brownstone in Boston, where a crack team of bakers is sweating away, trying to save the world, by fixing every last Rapture bug...

HAHAHA  That would be evil

:p

there was a revision to it at some point (the installer IRC ).. so maybe you have 2 versions installed ?

you could always remove progs / multi's relating to it.. and reinstall

thanks for the tip. In my case, the files are unique. I have a bunch of libs that I have collected through years.

I have been trying all day to install rapture. Redownloaded the four X2 files to make sure they were not the problem, but I keep getting the same result: I select just 'Rapture' from the customize menu, the install process starts and I see a file called 'RaptureInstall.exe' being extracted in the background before a Microsoft C++ Redistributable window pops up and does whatever they do - THEN i get a message saying that I have an old version of DIMENSION PRO installed and the install process is stopped (or finished, or cancelled not sure which) and I am taken to a Cakewalk DM PRO 1.5 download page. I ALREADY HAVE 1.5 INSTALLED. Is my Rapture installation really being ****ed up because of Dimension?????????

ps to anyone trying repeat installs: the installation files are (very slowly) extracted to C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Temp. Copy them to another location for future installations as they are immediately deleted once the installation is complete.

It's supposed to be part of the 1st install file. Here's the file breakdown page: http://www.cakewalk.com/s...tion_instructions.aspx I'll be installing later Friday so will be curious to see what happens. Steve

I did find this in the read me file. Might help?

After installing Dimension Pro and Rapture you must either run the standalone applications or SONAR X2 as administrator for Dimension Pro/Rapture to accept the registration number. This can be done by right-clicking on the SONAR icon or the standalone application icon and selecting "Run as Administrator".

, some more info...

Dimension LE x86 and x64 Installation on Same System (Studio and Essential Only)

Customers who are installing Dimension LE on x86 and x64 systems must be sure to select the same content installation path during the installation in order to prevent duplicate content from being installed. To specify the installer location, select the Advanced install option and select the same path used for the first install for Dimension LE on the “Plug-in Content” screen.
