After inserting console emulation on tracks and bus, Sonar crashes {or bus is not activated} during playback if you selecting between track - buss - another track and so on. Please try this!!!!

I just tried, and managed to crash a fairly complex project by doing a lot of selecting back and forth while console emulation was engaged. But it's a lot of other plugs and stuff in this project, so there are too many variables. I will investigate further...

- Tried a simple project with just audio tracks and no plugins/prochannel.
- Inserted console emulation on all tracks/master bus and gave it a go.  I had trouble getting the master bus selected while playback was running like you describe, but I couldn't crash it.

- Inserted Rapture, selected a patch and recorded some notes.
- Engaged console emulation on that track.

During playback, SONAR crashed after a few mouse clicks. The complex project also had Rapture in it.
Do you have Rapture running?

No, without Rapture. If the project is simple, it doesnt crash, but if it is complext ic crasher. But in both cases, this is really bad bug, because I switching a lot between bus and track plugins, slecting during playback....

First times crashed with a minimal project with just 2 tracks and not much more, second time with a fairly large project with Ez-drummer and some other soft synths no prolbems. Very strange. I am using diskdriver right now to defrag all of my disks, have done a chdsk during boot defrag a cuole of times, could be the reason. Still in X1 no crashes at all whatever I do.

Crashing is not so strange, but unability to select bus when console emus are present is very strange. I found that when I change size of buses window section during playback it can be selected, very strange!

Hmmm.

I just fired up a relatively complex project, with Rapture running a complex patch, a few audio tracks with crossfades and some automation, console emu on all tracks and the master bus, T-Racks with a few plugins on the master bus, Breverb and a few other FX running live, Pro-channel EQ and compression on several tracks... and switched around like a madman from tracks to busses, opening FX and synth windows left right and centre... and was unable to make it crash or delay the display in any way.

And that's on XP on a 5-year-old machine (desktop specs, below).

It's not a *really* big project, but it's typical of what I do and it's certainly not crashing now; having said that, this project *was* crashing a lot the other night while I was working on it; I started the project in X1 and ported it over, and ended up changing a few things, replacing some processing and such. It seems to have stabilized now!

So not to say there's nothing to this bug, but it doesn't seem to be universal...

So you are on different OS, I must try the XP behavior too...

On my end at least, it does seem that the console emulation affects stability in addition to making track/bus selection behave weirdly.
