Hi everyone,

I recorded this a couple of weeks ago. The keyboard was given to me to try out and as I'm not a keyboard player I asked my friend Dave Sharp to come and do a demo.

He had written a track and we recorded it with Dave playing all the instruments, (Drums, Bass, Guitar and Keys). We used Sonar X3e and tracked everything live. The Hammond was recorded "direct" and the Leslie was the built in simulation. We were given a proper Leslie but we picked up a noise on recording that we couldn't eliminate. I'm sure it was a setting but we didn't have the time to investigate.

I think you'll agree that it's pretty close to the original B3. There are huge possibilities in this keyboard for tweaking but as we didn't have it for very long we couldn't go into all the settings.

Hope you enjoy,

Cheers,

Peter.

Thanks for watching. Yes, he's also a great guitar player, bass player and also plays the sax.

I would have loved to have the Hammond a bit longer so that we could go a bit deeper into what the SK2 could do.

Cheers,

Peter.

I really liked that.  Great style and feel across the board.   And it sounded really good.

and a midi controller.

It's nice, but at almost 3 grand, I'll stick w/NI.

I have to say... I'm really liking NI's Vintage Organs.    But if I had the cash?  Sure, the feel and real-time control would be great.

I still use NI's B4, it's no longer sold separately or supported, but I think it's part of their Vintage Organs, or some new version of it. But mine works just fine, and I dig it... You can hear it prominently on my CSN tune 49 bye byes.

I played/triggered it using a Roland Juno.

I too would love the real thing though... I think I would lean more toward one of these;
