I have no idea what changed between v2.6 and v3.0. The version history page sort of grinds to a halt at v2.5.1.

v3 looks identical to v2.6. Seems to work exactly the same.

In some instances there seemed to be an incompatibility between Ilock and Windows 10. Wondering if this fixed that.

Most likely they fixed the security problem they had at the end of last year, which is why they aren't saying anything about what's in the release.  If that's the case then next up every iLok protected plugin will ship an update that will require this version.  It may mean Empirical Labs will finally release their Distressor plugin.

Here is the information from the dialog displayed after clicking "Check for Application Updates..." in the iLok License Manager
--------
Updating to version 3.0.0 is not a required update; however, some iLok-protected software may require that you use a version of 2.5.0 or greater. Please download the latest version from the iLok License Manager page of ilok.com.
New in Version 3.0.0:
  • Target location is now being highlighted during a drag operation
  • Pressing the Esc key on Transfer dialogs now cancels the operation and dismisses the dialog
  • If you have 2 copies of the same bundle with trial terms and one is activated, the other bundle is shown in the Unavailable tab.
  • Several bug fixes, including a Mac specific case where during a drag operation, the text was behind the cursor
  • Installer no longer installs legacy InterLok components. If you need legacy software support, download and run our legacy installers: https://www.ilok.com/#!resource/legacy

Wow! With that update list, I can see where a new major version number was necessary!

Not.

Yup...mine futzed after updating. You've got to do some background stuff in Windows to make the iLok manager wait to instantiate itself on power up. I think I saved how to do this but if I didn't and can't post it just search for iLok problem threads and it should pop up. I can't even remember the wonderful person who explained how to do it. But it worked like a charm for me. Only trouble is it seems you have to re-fix it every time you update.
