I read somewhere a long while back about a plug in for Finale being introduced.  Did that ever happen?  Or is it more to my understanding that the coding of the notation files works if you import it to Finale.
 
I don't mean to complain, but the charts I print are hard to read.  Sometimes measures are single lines when there could be much better readable scores and charts.  I would like to score parts that are actually readable and not 4-5 pages when one to two would be sufficient. 
 
At this point I print stuff up and I realize I still have to hand write out parts if I want perform ready charts.  Anyone else got a good work around or suggestions on how to do this?

Sonar's notation is more of a working aid than a true notation program. There have been many threads on this. I finally purchased Notion, a true (and affordable) notation program. I export my stuff as a midi1 file (I'm on Sonar 8.5 so I don't have XML). Then I import it into Notion. I can then whip up a score for full orchestra pretty quickly. I got Notion not long ago for 99.00, but I think it has gone up since then. I need Notion because it allows unlimited instruments, but there even less expensive products if you don't need unlimited tracks. Hope this helps.

I am also a Notion user. It has been a pretty good marriage with Sonar. You can also use the ReWire function to use Sonar as your DAW and use Notion as a plugin with it synced to Sonar. Very nice!
