Hi guyz ..i'm working on a video in sonar and i have few questions for you videos guyz here :

1) Can we cut (edit ) the video (split) to make several small ones ?

2) Tried to export the video and audio and i made a 5 min selection ....audio is so 5 min (synched on selection) but it exports the whole 1h 30 video !!

3) from time to time  the video view freeze or get black ...i have to close it , and then open the propoerties of video ..validate and close and then re open the Video view (witch then work)

I would be crazy to have the same intagration (as soundforge) with a third party video editor (windows) ....

By the way i used to use Final cut .....any alternative in Windows ;)
??

Thks guyz

1.No

2.Dont Use Sonar to export video, Just export sound and glue it on in another program video dedicated.

3.Could be a codec issue.

Instead of Final Cut pro maybe use Premiere?

+1 to what markyzno said....

I use a version of Sony Vegas for video editing.  THe version needed to do the simple video editing you need  can be dloaded for pretty cheap.   I like Vegas because it acts and feels much like any audio application with clips and such.

QuickTime Pro is another way to marry the audio with picture.

IF you are going to do audio for picture, you are better off doing the picture editing and the video rendering with a video program, not Sonar or other DAWs.

Thks guyz yep i was about to go premiere but forgot vegas ...as i own Sounforge , maybe it offers prices to buy other soft .. thsk again

well it's AVI so strange ....(codec issue , i don't think so ) ....maybe because it's a 1h40 video ...with monisphere and mashine all around !! lol

+1 on Sony Vegas stuff (or Movie Studio).  Movie Studio, in my opinion, is almost as good as the full version of Vegas and the new version 12 is both 64 or 32-bit.  I have other video editing Windows software, including Adobe stuff, but for me, Vegas/Movie Studio is the way to go.
