Hello,

I have a problem with recording my songs.
I play the saxophone and when I want to record it with a playback there's a delay in the record.
I use the Sonar X1 LE Software with a Roland Quad Capture driver and just normal headphones...
Does anyone know how to fix this?
I'm sorry if my english is bad... I'm german. :)

Adjust your latency via the ASIO control panel or WDM slider in X1.

What are your buffer and bit rate settings for record and playback?

Thanks! :)

I'm gonna try to adjust the latency tomorrow.
Thanks for the quick answer!

I tried to adjust the latency... But I can't move the slider... Do you know how to fix that?

Are you talking about the slider in Preferences > Driver Settings > Mixing Latency?

Or do you mean the slider in the QUAD-CAPTURE ASIO control panel Driver > Driver Settings > Audio Buffer Size?

If it is any help, I have a QUAD-CAPTURE and I am currently running in ASIO mode with an Audio Buffer Size = 4. This gives me an input latency of 3.3 milliseconds (144 samples), and output latency of 6.6 milliseconds (290 samples) and a roundtrip of 9.8 milliseconds (434 samples).

I record in 24 bit and 44.1 kHz

The above settings provide me with a reasonable delay when recording.

I have never tried the QUAD-CAPTURE in WDM/KS mode

cheers

If you're using ASIO mode, go to the soundcard's control panel and set the buffer to 256 or 128 samples, whichever works better. (The lower value gives less delay).
