Hi, Im using Sonar 8.0 on Windows 7 and i have a home studio.
My Instruments go to a Mixer and to a TASCAM US-125M and through my Computer.
When I Start Sonar, the only driver that is working it's the MME driver.
I saw on the TASCAM us-125M website that it's supposed to be working with WDM driver, but when i choose WDM, there is no inputs and Output.
What should i do to Switch MME to WDM to have a better quality???

goto Options/Audio under the "Advanced" tab choose WDM and run the wave profiler under the "General" tab, you should see whether they are available, then choose that driver under the "General" tab for your Playback/Record timing master. If ASIO drivers are available you should use those as they will give you better latency. Good luck and I hope that will help you my friend.

http://tascam.com/product/us-125m/specifications/

there are no asio drivers for this device available.
you need a better device buddy.but untill then follow this:
go to preferences/change driver mode to wmd.
go to input/outputs(still in preferences)
now check your device(the check boxes need to be ticked)
hit apply and close preferences.

you find your getting alot of latency(delay after you hit a note)
look into ASIO4ALL as another driver alternetive.

@ chuckebaby He is on Sonar 8 the preference option is for X1 and above, for Sonar 8.5 and below it will be in the Options/Audio on the main menu in the panel I believe( and confirmed when I checked mine ). The Good "old" Sonar way.

Okay, But when i choose WDM and I start the "Wave profiles", it seems thats everything is Not Available.. So I've tried ASIO with ASIO4ALL, and It says that my device "USB Audio CODEC" is unavailable.. It has showed 3 thing that might cause that.

1) MS GS Software Synth MIDI is turn On?? Where could i find it to be sure? is that in MIDI Device in Options of Sonar 8 ??

2)In use by another program.. No

3)Driver not Full duplex..? What is that?

Did you receive a driver disk with that interface? if so try reinstalling the drivers. I followed that link that chuckybaby gave and unfortunately there was no online Driver download also you might run a new hardware search through Windows and let Windows install the driver automatically.I sure hope you find a solution my friend.

thats why i left the link to show him there was no drivers for that interface.
like i said, there are no drivers for that interface.

you need to disable ms microsoft synth and any other soundcard your using to make asio4all to work correctly.
theres 2 options here.
buy a better interface(one thats up to date)
or,
read the 5 page manual that came with asio4all and learn how to use it rather then having us feed you every step of the way.

it will work, you need to have perseverence though.indulge and reap the rewards.

good luck
