I'm running into a strange issue that does not happen with Reaper/Live/Studio-One using this same audio device.

I can use this device in X2 @ 44.1, but if I set it to 48k, I get the following dialog pop up every second forever until I change back to 44.1.

I had to do a video capture to actually get the screen shot, as it comes up and goes away very quickly, but it's obviously unusable.

I'm not sure why it's referencing this Generic driver as I clearly do not have that selected under devices.  Anyone have an idea of what I could try.

Here are some screens of the settings:

Also, I'm using X2 Producer if that makes a difference.

I've also updated to build 308 that is posted in the sticky.

Also, I'm using x64 version on Windows 7.
Thanks.

They have a new USB 2.0 driver that came out 9-14-12. I don't think you should have "Generic driver." I'm using the Scarlett 2i2 and I'm having no problems. http://us.focusrite.com/downloads

I never use 48KHz, and I've recently been using WDM for quicker latency adjustments.  But I just tried a quick test with an empty project and had no problem setting my 18i6 to 48/24 using the Focusrite ASIO driver just as you're showing.  And I'm also running X2 64 on Win7 64.

I'm not sure what the greyed out generic driver is and it probably shouldn't conflict if it's not enabled, but perhaps it's worth looking into.

Thank you sir.  That wasn't showing up in the list when I filtered by 18i6.  I installed it and it's still happening so I'm not sure.

I'm wondering if that "generic" was installed by Cubase when I demo'd it.  I was trying both and decided on X2.  I uninstalled it and would think it would have removed everything if that's where it came from.

Not sure how to get rid of it or I would.

It's good to know that it does work.  Thank you for checking.

Following these instructions, http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=61134

I removed the "generic low latency driver" and that solved the issue.

Still, seems like a bug that this would affect X2 if it was never selected.

Thanks to all for the responses.. I do appreciate it.

Cheers.

Good to see you've got it straightened out.

Regarding the generic driver, it sure looks disabled but the very first screen capture is showing it being scanned.   So perhaps it is doing more than it seems, and SONAR is picking up on that.   Either way, the important thing is that you've got X2 up and running with the Scarlett... a good combination.
