You can get it installed but you have to make a change to your registry that can be changed back once it's installed.

Ditto on the fix with the Rapture install. The process is in a thread on here. It worked great for me but did not work for others. I heard Cake is working on a fix. The fix described on this forum was very simple if you can get past the fear of mucking around in the registry. I copied the post and pasted in to Word. Printed it out and followed every word. The only thing it didn't say was be sure to click on the stand alone version icon to run as administrator so you can type in your key code. Otherwise, it went well.

I also was under the impression that there was supposed to be some solution on the way...correct me if I misunderstood!
...I'm just to chicken to go into the registry. I think this is a case for the IT department I don't have. I'm just running a private little project-studio here.
So I guess  I'm just gonna hang on with Rapture LE until...

I,Too, suffer from registry fright but this fix is pretty simple. The longest part is going thru the setup process for X2 to install. If you are that afraid of the registry, maybe you have a family member or close friend who is computer savvy enough to do it for you. I just had such success with it and I have only been in the registry once or twice myself when my regular tech guy was around. I agree, if you are put off by it, Don't Touch It!

Well, Rapture is in demo mode for 26 more days.  That is how long Cake has - or the puppy dies!

They just issued a the first QuickFix for X2. I hope that is a sign they are working hard on the major issues most of us are having. If they drop the ball and don't get it in 26 more days, I'm sure they will have some sort of fix for us. Like I said before, I don't like mucking around in the registry but it really was nothing that even an in-experienced computer guy couldn't handle. As said before the registry is nothing to play around in. But if I can do it, probably most anyone can.

Most people should be able to make these minor registry edits without issue PROVIDED you export the entire registry before you start.

This only takes a few seconds to do.

Thanks for advice, Sidroe, ok...I think I'm gonna do it... I've already received a step by step instruction by Cake support on my request. I just hope I'm one of "Most Poeple", Bristol_Jonesey.

All the information you need can be found in this thread: http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?&m=2667101&mpage=5

You do need to change the registry, but this is not very difficult. In my experience, the difficulty was finding all of the pesky Dimension Pro entries.....
