There is as you know auto zoom in X2. Did you also know that there is a global zoom for tracks? The way it works is adjust the height of an unselected track and all the tracks will follow. This is sweet.

For auto zoom you engage it by clicking on the view menu and checking the selection for it. Then all you do is select a track then adjust it height.  Now when you select any track it will pop up to that size.

Yes, I knew that. FYI

here is a hot tip dating backing many versions- X ray vision: shift-x on a vst turns it into a translucent vst that can be recalled again by shift-x, a great tool for those with one screen.

Ah but did you see how elegant that is. You set the general height than select your zoom height. Kinda neat me thinks.

Yep, it's very cool John, but alas X2 is crashing for me. I think I have been gung ho with so many easy upgrades in the past and no "issues". Now I have gunk on my system and X2 is crashing. I'm going to be an early Win8 adopter methinks..., can't get any worse...

Yep I know what you mean. I too may jump to Win 8 quick. I just hope MS rethinks metro.

I'm quite linking the auto track zoom - though I'm a bit perplexed why Folders don't auto unzoom & need to be manually resized up & down using the splitter bar. Since the only additional info shown on the folder is the track type counts maybe those should be moved to the top "line" of the folder display & they could stay unzoomed.

Also, with autozoom turned on, once you select on a bus & it zooms there's no way to not have a bus selected/zoomed so you end up with a permanently zoomed bus stealing screen space.

Then again, these may be things associated with using XP (please, no lectures ).
