On the subject of tips......

Track view undo/redo. Hold right mouse button down and click left to undo. To redo hold left down and click right.

This is one of my personal favorites. I often zoom in with the time ruler and roll the mouse buttons to get back to the original state.

Yep it's great and better still now view undo remembers screenset changes as well I can use it as a quick change between two screensets.

That's an excellent tip FBB, but I wish it worked as straight undo/redo.

Thanks FBB for that neat tip about undo. Have you noticed any extra abilities with screen sets so far?

The mouse thing is really Kool! Especially when using it to switch back and forth between certain screen sets!!

Nothing startling so far. I like that I can now see all screenset numbers, I'd still like a lock indicator on the module though.

The changes are maybe even snappier, they seem instant now, not that they were slow before.

I like autozoom being screenset dependent that has made a couple of the ones I use more dynamic in that I no longer have to change the height of any added tracks.

Mine are still evolving.....

I've just posted this in another thread but for the control bar.... is that a quick(er) way to move a module on screen if selected but off-screen is to deselect and then reselect it.

It'll then replace the last visible module. I'm not sure whether that's by design or not but handy all the same.

One other added benefit of the new auto zoom is a very obvious way to hi-light a selected track using a CS.

.....
Instead of having to use a dropdown menu to lock/unlock a screenset, I would like to be able to right-click on the current screenset number button as a lock/unlock toggle, with different colours for the locked and unlocked states.

That'd work. I have lock/unlock assigned as a keypress but I'm guessing as to the state, a button colour option would work great.

I'm off to feature request.. I've already got one in for it but the colour idea is a real neat and hopefully easy..ish to do. Thanks.

I wouldn't cry if the Cake folks got rid of the extra info in the track folders and just froze them at minimized height for all time. There just isn't anything useful about having them take up space every time I open a project last saved in an older version of Sonar.

Either that or add something useful to the track folder space. Maybe volume/pan/gain/sends controls that I can grab that act just like Quick Grouping all tracks in that folder? It would be cool to easily tweak all Drum volumes down at the track level this way without having to quick group.

Peace,

Tunes
