I wouldn't cry if the Cake folks got rid of the extra info in the track folders and just froze them at minimized height for all time. There just isn't anything useful about having them take up space every time I open a project last saved in an older version of Sonar.

+1

CW have said that Folders are only visual aids with no operational add as such, but it might be good to have some functionality in the Folder strips to operate on all tracks in the Folder without having to group... but I guess we would normally use a buss... food for thought.

A small tip re ProChannel in Console View;

I was just farting around adding Console Emulation to twenty odd tracks in Console View. I didn't bother collapsing them straight away so at the end of it I had all of the ProChannel strips expanded.

I then started to collapse them one at a time and thought "where is the collapse all ProChannel strips button." There isn't one, as far as I can see.

Then I thought I'd try the following:-

Via the Modules menu in Console View, deselect ProChannel.

This closes the ProChannel modules, but when you select it again to bring the ProChannel modules back, it has collapsed the ProChannel strips, which I thought was quite handy.

cheers

Each console strip that contains the PC module has a small arrow, to the right of the module, that you click to reveal the respective PC strip. The arrow points to the right when the PC is not displayed. Cntrl+click on any such arrow and the PCs for all console strips are revealed. Similarly, when the PC strips are displayed, Cntrl+click on a left-pointing arrow to hide all PC strips.
Cntrl+click will perform for all strips in many other cases too (eg Narrow strip).

Yeah, thanks for that Guy. I totally missed that in the X2 Reference guide, but I've just looked again and there it is on page 965.
