Is anyone else in the same boat here ? ive spent 2 days trying to download X2 fire fox, internet explorer, google chrome, trying match check sums not matched. Then when ive finally had enough ive tried to email cakewalk technical support, fill out all the problems, click submit, and then there is problem and cant be sent. I love using sonar as my DAW and really want to use what i have paid for, but just cant get anywhere. If anyone from cakewalk on here sees this please, please can you help me, im getting so frustrated now. I would really appreciate some help or my money back till i can have a working download. Kind Regards, Ben

Hi ,for this huge download is better to use a download manager. I use Free Download Manager for audio stuff. It's perfect. I have download X2 parts in two hours with any problems. Good luck.Best.Roby

This works a treat. It'll be your saviour.

Once downloaded, open it up completely. Then go to your cakewalk download page:

And then simply DRAG the .exe link into the download manager. Click the appropriate 'OK' buttons in the manager and let it work its magic. I was using Chrome for all of this. If dragging doesn't work, right click the link, copy the url and import that into your manager.

Cool cool. Should give you some happy signs like below.

I just re-did it then for you so it has a few things you don't have (i.e. the already on disk bit), but if it all looks green and happy like that, you should be fine! You can just drag in each and every .exe file so they are ALL in there, and then select all the stuff you don't want to download yet, and just click stop. You can resume those downloads later. For now, I'm sure you just want to put all your bandwidth into part1/part2/part3/part4, which is the main program.

They all downloaded but when i try and launch them part 1 is ok but as soon as it finishes it says 'please download and run previous packages' which is the same problem ive been having all along. But thankyou very much for all the help you have given me, it is much appreciated :-) i think i will ask cakewalk for a disk or ask for my money back and stick with X1 as ive wasted so much time on this to get nowhere. kind regards Ben

Do they all look like this?

Or does only .part1 have the X2 logo? They should all have the X2 logo. If only part1 does, then your .exe is missing off the end of the other files. If they are all in the same folder just like above, it should work...

well must admit it sounds like something peculiar to your system rather than anything at cake's end.. but i appreciate it must be frustrating..
hopefully you remembered to turn off a/v during the download process ..,
