Putting it in as a feature request: it's something I use all the time.
In X1 and previous, the first time I used Edit>Delete I would get a dialogue box for whether I wanted to Delete the whole and, perhaps, shift by whole measures (I never did: that's just silly). I was also allowed to key bind the Edit>Delete (which I did) so I could CTRL-D all day long and only have to fix the portions that had an artifact.
NOW, CTRL-D [i.e. Edit>Delete] merely deletes the selected portion with NO option to delete the hole: That is now relegated to Edit>Delete Special. This isn't a problem until I realized that Edit>Delete Special hasn't been made key-bindable. This is not happiness time. It's also not cry my eyes out time, but rather a fleeting annoyance that means I am now having to do a little more work.
Or am I missing a setting somewhere?
Edit to add solved information:
Delete hole is now part of Cut Special: CTRL-ALT-X [hat tip to Tunekicker for that]
