Curious.

As far as I'm aware envelopes have generally been overhauled with much better performance including pasting from tracks to busses and vice versa working very smoothly indeed. Much better controls fro writing and freehand drawing of envelopes as well.
Tempo based plugs also fixed from what I've seen so far.

yes to both from my experience plus better envelope editing in general.

I'd just like to add that being a Reason user as well as SONAR that the automation lanes are a HUGE plus for this new version.

I was initially put off by the lack of color selection and the bugs left in X1, but yeah, I've been asking for automation lanes for years and revamping the views and automation really pulled me in. I'll just have to get down to business with whatever X2 looks like. 99.00 is a no-brainer, really, and side-chaining with the pro channel is so easy. Currently using Sonar X1 to compose and record, but using Reaper for the varispeed and 'record what you hear' function because I use a lot of generative synths and effects in Reaktor, and Studio One for final project assembly and mastering. The conclusion I came to is that I couldn't build a house with just a hammer or a saw. It takes a plethora of tools to the get the job done; so why should audio be any different?

Melodyne works just fine from what I've tried (Not a lot, but enough to see my workflow get back to "normal").
This tells me tempo-based plugs are a-ok.
